I wanted to add 425 Hz and 850 Hz shifts to my Heathkit HD-3030 RTTY terminal unit (circa 1983). So, I used KiCAD to design a drop-in replacement Active Filter board. Parts layout is nearly exactly the same as the original with each part designator silk-screened in its footprint. The board is just a wee bit wider than the original on the left side, so the hold-down bar is a tight fit. I used 25-turn trimpots instead of the original PC mount style for easier tuning. I also used .0047 uF capacitors instead of the original .005 uF. Also, JRC4558 vs MC1458 and J111 vs MPF111. The connector is available from DigiKey - PN WM14511-ND. Boards can be assembled using the Flesher TU-300 Universal Filter assembly manual available at navy-radio.com.
