AERIS-10 Open Source Phased Array Radar
The AERIS-10 is a low?cost open?source phased?array radar platform designed for makers, researchers and educators. Operating around 10.5 GHz, the system can detect and track multiple objects at ranges of up to 20 km. The hardware consists of several PCBs including a 16×8 phased?array antenna, a main signal?processing board with an FPGA and microcontroller, a frequency synthesizer, power amplifier, and a dedicated power board.
The open hardware package includes detailed schematics, board layouts, Gerber production files, and a bill of materials so you can build the entire radar yourself. Firmware and software for controlling the system are also provided, along with simulation files and documentation. AERIS?10 uses off?the?shelf components wherever possible to keep costs down while still achieving good performance. By sharing this project publicly we hope to accelerate learning and experimentation in radar technology and to inspire more people to explore advanced sensing systems.
