The Best XT-IDE for DIY - No SMD!
There are a million different XT-IDE designs, but this one made by GlitchWorks IMHO is my favorite for DIY. It includes incredibly easy to find components (with lots of substitutions available). About the only downside is that the CF card adapter takes up a second slot unless you do some trickery to mount the card.
All credit goes to GlitchWorks for the design, I'm just making it easy to order as well as providing some BIOS images and support.
